Permits and Certificates

The Urban Planning Department issues permits for construction, renovation, swimming pools, and subdivisions, as well as authorization certificates that enable the Town to ensure that buildings and properties and their use comply with by-laws. Obtaining a license is proof of your project’s compliance.

PROCESSING OF PERMIT REQUESTS
The Town is currently undergoing a period of transition and experiencing a high volume of requests, resulting in longer-than-usual processing times.
  • Requests are processed in the order they are received.
  • There is no need to follow up by phone or email.
  • An inspector will contact you once your file has been assigned for review.
