Property Assessment

Subject to the Act respecting Municipal Taxation, the Town of Hudson uses a chartered appraiser to determine the value of buildings and land throughout its territory. Following assessment, the Town determines the amount of the tax notice to the taxpayer.

Property visits

To comply with The Act respecting municipal taxation, The Town of Hudson must conduct an inventory of all properties on its territory at least once every nine years. An on-site visit ensures the accuracy of the existing data for each property. To this end, the evaluation firm “Les Estimateurs Professionnels Leroux, Beaudry, Picard & Associés inc.” has been mandated to conduct this year’s inventory.

The firm’s representatives will carry a photo ID and an identification letter signed by an authorized Town representative.

Visits are authorized from 8 am to 9 pm, Monday to Friday. Evaluators are required to inspect the interior of your house and photograph its exterior if deemed necessary.
