Due to extensive roadworks the week of October 31, 2022, residents are strongly advised to avoid:

  • Main Road, between Quarry Point and Bellevue, between 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m., Monday, October 31st through Friday, November 4th. Access to Main Road will be very limited and subject to closures and detours. 
  • Como Gardens Street, Wednesday, November 2nd; closure of a section of the street at Shepherd, local circulation only. 
  • Mayfair Street, Wednesday, November 2nd, and Thursday, November 3rd: avoid the area around 82 Mayfair.

Here are the details for the week of October 31st to November 4th: 

ALI EXCAVATION:
  • Ali Excavation will be widening Main Road between Quarry Point and Bellevue. 
  •  The street will remain closed to through traffic.
  • Residents living in the work zone, collection vehicles, and emergency vehicles will be able to alternate on one lane, but waiting times of up to 10 minutes may occur when trucks and equipment are maneuvering.
  • Avoid the area if possible.
  • For those users who will have to cross the work site, we remind you that for the safety of all, you must do so carefully;  follow the directives of the flag persons, and drive at low speed.
EXO:
  • Wharf Road: There will be a clean-up operation to remove the remaining equipment and safety barriers.
  • Work will begin on the level crossing on Beach. Traffic will be alternating, but there are no street closures planned.
  • Please note that the work on Beach will take place over a 3-week period.
PUBLIC WORKS:

Monday, October 31st

  • Repairs to the boardwalks on Bradbury Trail.

Tuesday, November 1st

  • Repairs to the boardwalks on Bradbury Trail.
  • Tree trimming on Main Road from Montée Lavigne eastward.

Wednesday, November 2nd

  • Repairs to the boardwalks on Bradbury Trail.
  • Tree trimming on Main Road from Montée Lavigne eastward.
  • Repair of a water main break on Como Gardens Street.
  • Installation of a dry well at 82 Mayfair.

Thursday, November 3rd

  • Repairs to the boardwalks on Bradbury Trail.
  • Tree trimming on Main Road from Montée Lavigne eastward.
  • Installation of a dry well at 82 Mayfair.

Friday, November 4th

  • Repairs to the boardwalks on Bradbury Trail.

Main Road will be open between 7 p.m. and 7 a.m.
Please note that the work of our contractor Ali Excavation Inc. is subject to change without notice.
The contractor has committed to updating the addresses on the signs indicating the closed areas on a daily basis.
