Join us to celebrate Le Nichoir’s Migratory bird day event on May 4th 2024 from 10am to 2pm. For this special day, Le Nichoir Wild Bird Rehabilitation Centre is opening its doors! This will be a unique opportunity to visit the facilities where 2500 wild birds are rehabilitated each year. Bird and insect observation walks in the Clarke-Sydenham reserve will be led by local ornithology groups and naturalists. There will be children’s activities such as a nature treasure hunt, face painting and arts and crafts with a local artist! Interactive educational activities for the whole family will be displayed throughout the centre. You can enjoy a nice cup of bird friendly coffee while browsing through our used bird themed book sale.
A free event for everyone to learn about wild birds and insects!
*Please note that our bird patients will not be visible during this event as we need to keep their environment stress-free during their rehabilitation*
