A tree for Earth Day 2024!

To celebrate Earth Day, the Town of Hudson is giving away 100 trees to residents on April 20th.

Registration is required

♣  Registration opens at 8 am on Friday, April 12th and closes at Noon on Friday April 19th, or when stock runs out, whichever comes first.
♣  One tree per civic address. Trees are reserved on a first-registered, first-served basis
  The earlier you register, the better your chance of receiving your first choice.

You can choose between four species of trees :

  1. – OUT OF STOCK – Serviceberry ‘Autumn Brilliance’ :
    • Native broadleaf tree
    • Small tree – perfect for under hydro lines
    • Produces small white flowers that attract pollinators
    • Produces small fruit that attracts birds
  2. – OUT OF STOCK –Swamp White Oak :
    • Native broadleaf tree
    • Rare medium-sized tree
    • Ideal for rich lowlands
    • Produces acorns
  3. – OUT OF STOCK – Shagbark Hickory
    • Native broadleaf tree
    • Large rare tree, but found naturally in Hudson
    • Ideal for lowlands
    • Produces nuts
  4. – OUT OF STOCK – Sugar Maple 
    • Native broadleaf tree
    • Large common tree
    • Ideal for rich well drained soils
    • Produces samaras

You will receive an email confirmation of your registration and the species reserved for you.

We will do our best to give you your first choice!

You must pick up your tree on Saturday, April 20th, in the Town Hall parking lot, between 9 am and noon. You will be asked to show proof of residency, which must include your full name and address.
