14 Oct Major Roadworks – October 17 to 21, 2022

• Due to extensive roadworks during the week of October 17, 2022, residents are strongly advised to:
  • avoid Main Road between Quarry Point and Bellevue between 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. from Monday, October 17, through Friday, October 21.
    • Access to Main Road will be extremely limited and subject to closures and detours.

IN ADDITION:

• On October 18, residents are advised to avoid:
  • Cote St. Charles between Westwood Senior (69 Côte St-Charles) and Main Road,
  • Main Road between Cote St. Charles and Alstonvale Road.
    • Access to Main Road between Cote St. Charles and Alstonvale Road will be extremely limited and subject to closures and detours.
• On October 19, residents are advised to avoid:
  • Main Road between Cote St. Charles and St. James Church (640 Main Road).

Here are the details:

Monday, October 17th:

• Replacement of both culverts under Main Road, near 345 Main Road; alternating traffic,
• Replacement of the cross culvert under Main Road between the two intersections between 345 Main Road; complete closure, with detour,
• Drainage pipe repair on Cameron at the Post Office (99 Cameron),
• Flushing of the aqueduct network in the commercial area.

Tuesday, October 18th:

• Replacement of access culvert at civic address #329; alternating traffic,
• Replacement of the cross culvert under Main Road in front of civic address #322; complete closure,
• Replacement of the cross culvert under Main Road facing civic address #306; complete closure,
• Paving of Cote St. Charles, between Westwood Senior (69 Côte St-Charles) and Main Road,
• EXO will be doing repairs to the crossing at the base of MacAuley Hill (68 Main Road); complete closure, with detour,
• Drainage pipe repair on Cameron at the Post Office (99 Cameron),
• Flushing of the water system in the commercial area.

Wednesday, October 19th:

• Replacement of the cross culvert under Main Road just west of Turtle Pond Lane; complete closure,
• Replacement of the cross culvert under Main Road just east of Butternut (Day 1*); complete closure,
• Paving of Main Road between Cote St. Charles and St. James Church (640 Main Road),
• Complete work on Windcrest Street.

Thursday, October 20th:

• Replacement of cross culvert under Main Road just east of Butternut (Day 2*); complete closure,
• Complete work on Windcrest Street.

Friday, October 21st:

• Replacement of the 2 catch basins in front of civic address #260; Possible full closure, but at minimum alternating traffic,
• Replacement of the cross culvert under Main Road, at the limits of civic addresses #250 and #246; complete closure.

The contractor will advise residents prior to undertaking the work on the access culverts.
Main Road will be open between 7 p.m. and 7 a.m.

The contractor has committed to updating the addresses on the signs indicating the closed areas on a daily basis.
