Storyfest’s Writers’ Workshop, No, seriously. Comedy Writing.
David Heti is a stand-up comic and writer who has toured throughout North America, released two comedy albums, and written for the CBC and The Comedy Network. He teaches comedy writing at McGill and Toronto’s Flying Books School of Reading and Writing and holds degrees in Philosophy and Law.You might laugh, but this five-hour immersion (with breaks) will be a combination of theory and workshopping. The goal is for the participants to deepen their appreciation of humour, learn how better to transfer their own sense of humour to the page, and in general, become stronger, more confident, nuanced, discerning and just plain funnier writers no matter what their writing genre or level of experience.
The workshop takes place at Greenwood and includes a light lunch. Space is limited.
Tickets are $80.00 each and can be purchased electronically here. If you would like to buy this ticket as a cash transaction, please contact us at: history@greenwoodcentre.org or 450-458-5396.
