Artists, collectors and décor enthusiasts from the region will converge at “Art de Vivre: Living Artfully, Embracing Life”, taking place on June 29th and 30th from 10 am to 4 pm at Verger de Hudson Bio, 839 Main Road, Hudson QC.
Organized by a collective of local business owners and artists, this exhibition of carefully curated art and vintage home décor pieces promises to create an immersive environment where art, aesthetics, and environmental consciousness converge. The event is open to the public and attendance is free.
The singular Art de Vivre event aims to celebrate life through the union of art, nature, and curated home experiences. Set amidst the picturesque apple orchard of Le Verger Hudson Bio, the semi-outdoor group art exhibition will pair sophisticated antiques and curated art pieces by eight unique artists. The exhibition will unite diverse creatives and business owners with the goal of fostering a community centered around art, home decor, and sustainability.
“We are so excited to be hosting Art de Vivre. It aligns perfectly with the vision we had when we founded the orchard 20 years ago,” said Anick Joanisse, co-owner of Le Verge Hudson Bio and a member of the Art de Vivre Hudson organizing collective. “Hudson is known for its active arts scene, reputation as a destination for antiques, and leadership in sustainable living…this event combines all of those things.”
Highlights of Art de Vivre: Living Artfully, Embracing Life
1. Art Exhibition: Original works for display and for sale from Audrey Smith, Sophie Brouillet, Mona Turner, Joanna Olson, Allison Smith, Nancy Farnum, Judith Harvey, and Andrea M. Coda di San Grato.
2. Vintage and Antique Home Décor: A curated collection of small furniture, tableware, barware, and lighting will be displayed in conjunction with the art pieces. These items will be provided by Hudson business Le Corbeau et le Renard and will be available for sale at the event.
3. New and Upcycled Décor Accessories: A selection of table linens, pillows, and other textile pieces created by Fabrique de Verger will be available for purchase.
4. Collaborative Displays: The exhibition will showcase the art and supporting home décor pieces through a series of styled vignettes that help attendees envision the items in their homes.
5. Community Outreach: Representatives from the Creek 53 Conservancy Trust will be on-site and available to explain their mission to “preserve the biodiversity and ecosystem integrity of an area of ecological importance and natural beauty within the Hudson escarpment and the Creek 53 watershed.”
6. Refreshments: The Verger de Hudson Bio will be offering a seasonal picnic menu, refined snacks, as well as local micro-brewery and sparkling ciders for purchase during the event.
Art de Vivre: Living Artfully, Embracing Life is poised to be a must-see event for anyone who appreciates art, design aesthetics, and sustainable living. The event is open to the public and attendance is free.
