Electoral personnel – job offer
The Town of Hudson is currently looking for people aged 18 and older to fill its list of electoral staff for the municipal election to be held on November 5, 2017.
Being part of the electoral staff is one of the best ways to participate in the democratic life of a municipality and make a real contribution to your town. You will gain new skills while providing a valuable service to your community. Note that you must be available for a mandatory 2 hour (approx) training session that will take place the evening of October 18th, 2017.
Remuneration – Election Officers
Interested persons are invited to complete and submit the following application form to the returning officer by no later than September 29, 2017.

Available positions for the Board of Revisors (October 18 and 23, 2017) the mobile poll (October 29, 2017), the advance poll (October 29, 2017) and polling day (November 5, 2017), including the following:
Deputy returning officer:
Ensures that the elections runs smoothly and in a confidential manner, checks elector identity, distributes ballots, conducts vote counting.
Assists deputy returning officer, keeps an account – on the electoral list – of persons having voted.
Receives electors, ensures that electors know their polling subdivision, ensures that they are registered on the electoral list, asks electors to prepare their identification documents, directs electors to their polling subdivision.
Member of the identity verification panel:
Checks the identity of electors who have not succeeded in establishing their identity at time of voting, receives and analyzes documents submitted by them, informs them about decision.
Examines applications for entry, striking off or correction to the list of electors.
Responsible for the hall, ensures that polling runs smoothly, maintains order in the voting hall, facilitates exercise by electors of their voting rights, supervises and assists election staff in performance of their respective duties.
