Under the responsibility of the Director of Urban Planning, the Urban Planning Technician will have to inform the public about the the application of the by-laws concerning zoning, construction, permits and certificates, subdivision, site plan regulations and architectural integration and minor derogation. The Urban Planning Technician will have to approve or reject plans and specifications related to all types of planning applications; this in accordance with the by-laws adopted by the Town regarding planning. The Urban Planning Technician will have to analyse requests in accordance with the urban planning regulations in force.

Under the leadership of the officers of the department, you will participate in various operations, including firefighting, extrications, water rescues as well as medical calls. In addition, you will participate in the implementation of various prevention programs and our training program equal to, and even surpassing, the provincial level.
