You can choose between three species of trees:

  1. Common Hackberry (Celtis occidentalis) :
    • Tree with a medium deployment (height at maturity of approximately 15 metres),
    • Requires sun or partial shade,
    • The Common Hackberry produces small flowers in the spring and dark purple drupes (stone fruits) in the fall, which birds and small mammals then eat,
    • Although it is a member of the Elm family, the Common Hackberry is resistant to Dutch Elm disease.
  2. Kentucky Coffeetree (Gymnocladus dioicus)
    • Tree with a large deployment (height at maturity of approximately 20 meters),
    • Requires full sun,
    • The Kentucky coffee tree has late bluish-green leaves that turn yellow in the fall,
    • It also produces small white flowers in early summer and yellow bean-shaped fruits that turn reddish brown during the fall.
  3. OUT OF STOCK – Sugar Maple (Acer saccharum) – OUT OF STOCK
    • Tree with a large deployment (height at maturity of approximately 20 metres),
    • Requires sun or partial shade,
    • The Sugar Maple produces greenish-yellow corymbs (flowers) in the spring and samaras in the fall,
    • Its foliage is green in summer and turns orange-yellow to red in fall to provide a beautiful fall colour.

You will receive an email confirmation of your registration and the species reserved for you.

We will do our best to give you your first choice!

You must pick up your tree on Friday, September 22nd, in the Town Hall parking lot between 2 pm and 6 pm. You will be asked to show proof of residency, which must include your full name and address.
