Dam

Pine Lake is controlled by a dam at its outlet. The dam is damaged and sagging and requires repair. Leakage under the dam is so abundant that the lake is completely empty.

As a result of this problem that occurred in the spring of 2014, the Town of Hudson mandated AMEC Environment & Infrastructure (now Amec Foster Wheeler) to conduct a hydrological study of the drainage basin of the Viviry Creek.

It is understood that this study does not aim to identify the causes of the failure of the dam or offer solutions. The study aims only to describe the water regime of the Viviry Creek. Forthcoming results will be the basis for further engineering or environmental studies.
