Due to extensive roadworks the week of November 7, 2022, residents are strongly advised to avoid:

  • Main Road, between Quarry Point and Bellevue, between 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m., Monday, November 7th through Friday, November 11th. Access to Main Road will be very limited and subject to closures and detours. 
  • Place Darling, Monday, November 7th: street closed. 
  • Mayfair Street, Wednesday, November 9th, and Thursday, November 10th: avoid the area around 82 Mayfair.
  • St-Jean, between Cameron and McNaughten: street closed.

Here are the details for the week of November 7th to 11th: 

ALI EXCAVATION:

  • Ali Excavation will be widening Main Road between Quarry Point and Bellevue. 
  • Tuesday, November 8th: scraping (levelling) of the road surface.
  • Wednesday, November 9th: pulverization of the pavement.
  • The street will remain closed to through traffic.
  • Residents living in the work zone, collection vehicles, and emergency vehicles will be able to alternate on one lane, but waiting times of up to 10 minutes may occur when trucks and equipment are maneuvering.
  • Avoid the area if possible.
  • For those users who have to transit through the work site, we remind you that for the safety of all, you must do so carefully;  follow the directives of the flag persons, and drive at low speed.

Main Road will be open between 7 p.m. and 7 a.m.
Please note that the work of our contractor Ali Excavation Inc. is subject to change without notice.
The contractor has committed to updating the addresses on the signs indicating the closed areas on a daily basis.

EXO:

  • Work on the level crossing on Beach continues traffic will be alternating, but there are no street closures planned.
  • Note that the work on Beach will take place over a 3-week period.

Monday, November 7

  • Work on a sewer manhole – Place Darling.
  • Installation of snow pickets.
  • Tree trimming on Main Road from Montée Lavigne eastward.

Tuesday, November 8

  • Installation of snow pickets.
  • Tree trimming on Main Road from Montée Lavigne eastward.

Wednesday, November 9

  • Installation of snow pickets.
  • Tree trimming on Main Road from Montée Lavigne eastward.
  • Installation of a dry well at 82 Mayfair.

Thursday, November 10

  • Installation of snow pickets.
  • Tree trimming on Main Road from Montée Lavigne eastward.
  • Installation of a dry well at 82 Mayfair.

Friday, November 11

  • Installation of snow pickets.
  • Tree trimming on Main Road from Montée Lavigne eastward.
