Public notice is hereby given by the undersigned, Interim Town Clerk of the Town of Hudson, of the following:

At its regular meeting held on Wednesday, January 10, 2024, Council adopted the following draft By-Law:

“BY-LAW 767-2024 AMENDING ZONING BY-LAW 526, SUBDIVISION BY-LAW 527, PERMITS AND CERTIFICATES BY-LAW 529, SITE PLANNING AND ARCHITECTURAL INTEGRATION PROGRAMS (SPAIP) BY-LAW 571”

In accordance with an Act respecting land use planning and development (chapter A-19.1), a public consultation meeting will be held on January 31, 2024, at 7:00 PM, at the Stephen F. Shaar Community Centre, located at 394 Main, Hudson

The purpose of this public consultation meeting is to explain draft By-Law 767-2024 the object of which is to give the Town the necessary regulatory tools in order to

• Protect trees and natural areas,
• Modify the provisions surrounding cadastral operations requiring the transfer or payment of a sum of money for parks, playgrounds, or natural areas.

During this meeting, the person presiding will explain the draft By-Law and will hear every person or body wishing to express an opinion exclusively on the modifications to be made to this by-law

The draft By-Law 767-2024 does not contain provisions making it subject to approval by way of referendum.

This draft By-Law is available for consultation at the Town Hall, 481 Main, Hudson, during working hours which are from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., from Monday to Thursday and from 8:30 to noon on Friday

Due to the participatory nature of this event, the presentation and question period will be recorded but not live-streamed.  The recording will be available on the Town’s website on February 2^nd.
