19 Nov Public Notice – by-law 716-2018 respecting the remuneration of elected municipal officers
PUBLIC NOTICE is, hereby, given that:
At the regular meeting of the Council of the Town of Hudson held at the Community Centre, on November 5th, 2018, the following proposed by-law was presented and a notice of motion was duly given for its adoption at a subsequent Council meeting:
BY-LAW 716-2018 RESPECTING THE REMUNERATION OF ELECTED MUNICIPAL OFFICERS
That the proposed by-law will be adopted by the Town of Hudson Council at a regular meeting which will be held on Monday, December 10th, 2018 at 7:30 PM at the Stephen F. Shaar Community Centre.
Proposed By-Law 716-2018, upon adoption, will replace By-Law 500.
The current basic remuneration and the expense allowance as well as those proposed are as follows:

The proposed By-Law also stipulates:
- That the Town shall pay, to the acting Mayor, an additional remuneration, up to the Mayor’s remuneration, from the 31st day of absence or incapacity to act of the Mayor, until the end of such period of absence or incapacity.
- That the aforementioned remuneration and expense allowances are to be indexed annually for every fiscal year following the entry into force of the present by-law.
- That this by-law will be retroactive to January 1st, 2018.
This proposed by-law is available for consultation at the Town Hall, 481 Main, Hudson, during working hours which are from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., from Monday to Friday.
