Hudson Music Festival Announces Exciting Lineup for 19th Edition ECHO

The Hudson Music Festival (HMF) is thrilled to announce its return along with its musician lineup for its 19th edition. Shows will be taking place around Hudson from July 31st to August 3rd, 2025. This year’s festival promises to be an unforgettable experience with an eclectic mix of new and returning artists that celebrate diverse musical traditions.

  • AARON WYLDER, Cayman Islands and Victoria, BC : Singer-Songwriter / Canadian indie folk, alt country, indie rock.  Born and raised in the Cayman Islands, Aaron Wylder is a 28 year old Canadian singer songwriter. Splitting his time between Victoria and Montreal, he can be found most often with a guitar in his hands. He is motivated by the prospect of creating resonating songs. Wylder’s blend of indie rock, alt country and folk is a distinct sound. You can expect a good time at an Aaron Wylder show. He is currently in the process of recording his debut studio album.   • KAT CHAPMAN Duo, Boston, USA : Americana Music. Boston native and Singer-Songwriter Kat Chapman relocated to Hudson with her family in April 2025. Her schedule this summer includes dates of both sides of the border! Kat’s musical journey has taken her from street performing roots to stages shared with the likes of Boz Scaggs, John Sebastian, Chris Isaak and Joan Armatrading. She has toured in the U.S. and across Europe, and has released multiple recordings. Kat will be bringing her soul-stirring  voice, and original acoustic-rock Americana style to the Hudson Music Festival! Kat’s music partner Chris Leadbetter, will be coming up from Boston to perform with his virtuosic guitar and mandolin playing!

  • YOEL DIAZ BIG BANDA, Cuba: Yoel Diaz with 17 piece band.  Yoel Diaz unveils his new Jazz Big Band project. After more than 25 years on the Canadian and Quebec music scene, he returns stronger than ever, once again dazzling us with a new facet of his artistic career: Yoel Diaz, the arranger. For several years now, he has been dedicating himself to arranging his rich repertoire for large orchestras. The creation of Yoel Diaz Big Banda is just the beginning of this exciting new musical chapter. Musician and composer Yoel Diaz was born in Holguin, Cuba. After studying percussion, he taught himself piano and composition. In 1996, Diaz became musical director for Alfredo Morales’ Chiquitin. The following year, he moved to Montréal, and soon found himself serving as opening act for the likes of Arturo Sandoval, Tito Puente, Eddie Palmieri or Ray Barreto. Te llegó, his first album of original material, was released in 2003. Desde mi casa hasta La Habana came out three years later. A popular player, Diaz has collaborated with a host of artists, including Carlos Placeres, Alex Bellegarde, Lorraine Klaasen, the brothers Diouf and Luc De Larochellière. His album Encuentros was released in August 2010.

  • IREM BEKTER, Turkey : Irem Bekter is a multidisciplinary artist born in Istanbul, Turkey. Trained in dance, theater, music, and singing in England, she lived in Argentina for over fifteen years, pursuing careers in theater, television, film, and music. Based in Montreal since 2007, she has performed with the Irem Bekter Quintet on several stages, including the Montreal
    Jazz Festival. Drawing on her rich cosmopolitan background, Irem Bekter presents a true sonic odyssey that blends Turkish tempos, Argentinian rhythms, British pop, electro, and a Franco-Québécois touch. She is accompanied by Olivier Salazar (piano, keyboards), Sean Burke (electric bass, double bass), Olivier Bussières (percussion), and Lu Horta (vocal and body percussion, backing vocals).

  • DAWN TYLER WATSON, Montreal : Multiple award-winning, Montreal-based Singer/Songwriter Dawn Tyler Watson has earned her place among the International Blues elite. Her fiery stage presence and soul-stirring performances have garnered her national and worldwide recognition. With two recent Maple Blues Awards; Songwriter of the Year, and Best Album/Producer, she was also nominated by the Blues Foundation in Memphis for a 2020 Blues Music Award for Vocalist of the Year alongside greats like Curtis Salgado & Mavis Staples. Her latest record “Mad Love,” was awarded the 2020 JUNO award for Blues Album of the Year!

Celebrating its 19th edition ECHO

The Hudson Music Festival is proud to be a part of the community’s rich cultural heritage. Celebrating its 19th edition, the HMF continues to foster community spirit and provide a platform for both established and emerging artists from around and outside of the Hudson area.
