The Town of Hudson regrets to inform residents that the wharf must be closed to ensure public safety. A recent evaluation by the engineering firm Shellex Inc. found the structure to be in a state of severe deterioration.

Built on land fill over a century ago, the wharf has degraded significantly over the years. Flooding events in 2017, 2019, and 2023 further weakened its foundation, causing landfill material to seep into the lake and compromising the structure’s stability.

We understand and share the community’s disappointment. However, ensuring the safety of residents and visitors is our top priority.
