To celebrate National Forest Week, the Town of Hudson is giving away 42 trees to Hudson residents from October 7th to 13th.
Registration is required
♣ It’s not too late to plant a tree!
Fall is actually one of the best times for tree planting — the weather is still pleasant, the heat waves are behind us, and the extra rain helps young trees take root.
♣ Register now to receive your free tree – quantities are limited!
♣ One tree per civic address. Trees are reserved on a first-registered, first-served basis.
♣ The earlier you register, the better your chance of receiving your first choice.
Choose between two species of trees:
- Northern Catalpa
- Hardwood native to North America
- Medium-sized, fast-growing tree with spectacular flowers
- Full Sun exposure
- Not very tolerant to road salt
- Its fruits are long capsules
- Spacing from power lines: 7.5 m
- Allegheny Serviceberry
- Native Hardwood
- Small tree with white flowers appreciated by pollinators
- Exposure to sun or part shade
- Not very tolerant of road salt
- Produces small berries that feed birds
- Spacing from power lines: 4 m
- You will receive an email confirmation of your registration and the species reserved for you.
- We will do our best to give you your first choice!
- Tree pickup is between ♣ Tuesday, October 7 and Monday, October 13.
