Sound the Alarm, it’s The Great Escape!

Be a fire prevention superhero and participate in The Great Escape on Wednesday, October 8, 2025!

Put your escape plan to the test.

On Wednesday, October 8, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., the Hudson Fire Department will drive through town with lights and sirens on—a simulation of a smoke alarm going off at home.

It’s the perfect time to practice your evacuation plan. When you hear the trucks, gather your household and head outside, just like you would in a real emergency. Wait at the

end of your driveway to wave at the firefighters as they pass.

A simple drill today can make all the difference tomorrow.

Be prepared! Use the EVACUATION PLANNER to plan your evacuation. The time you spend practicing your evacuation plan could make the difference in a real fire emergency.
