Public notice is hereby given by the undersigned, Interim Town Clerk of the Town of Hudson, of the following

At its regular meeting held on Wednesday, January 10, 2024, Council adopted the following draft By-Law:

“BY-LAW 768-2024 ON COMPREHENSIVE DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMS”

In accordance with an Act respecting land use planning and development (chapter A-19.1), a public consultation meeting will be held on January 31, 2024, at 7:00 PM, at the Stephen F. Shaar Community Centre, located at 394 Main, Hudson.

The purpose of this public consultation meeting is to explain draft By-Law 768-2024 the object of which is to:

• Allow the Town to adopt a global approach in order to better control the development of sectors still available, particularly in relation to the protection of natural environments; and
• Establish that a by-law on comprehensive development programs for these sectors is an essential complement to the applicable traditional urban planning regulations.

During this meeting, the person presiding will explain the draft By-Law and will hear every person or body wishing to express an opinion exclusively on the modifications to be made to this by-law.

The draft By-Law 768-2024 does not contain provisions making it subject to approval by way of referendum.

This draft By-Law is available for consultation at the Town Hall, 481 Main, Hudson, during working hours which are from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., from Monday to Thursday and from 8:30 to noon on Friday.

Due to the participatory nature of this event, the presentation and question period will be recorded but not live-streamed.  The recording will be available on the Town’s website on February 2^nd.
