Public notice is hereby given by the undersigned, Town Clerk of the Town of Hudson, of the following:

At its regular meeting held on Monday, March 10, 2025, Council adopted the following draft By-Law:

“BY-LAW 526.17-2025 TO FURTHER AMEND THE ZONING BY-LAW 526”

In accordance with an Act respecting land use planning and development (chapter A-19.1), a public consultation meeting will be held on March 24, 2025, at 7:00 PM, at the Stephen F. Shaar Community Centre, located at 394 Main, Hudson.

The purpose of this public consultation meeting is to explain draft By-Law 526.17-2025 the object of which is to:

• Adjust the threshold for the contribution for park purposes in cases of intensification of existing activities;
• Adjust the definition of shoreline;
• Adjust fines for tree cutting;
• Add the possibility for the municipal council to exempt certain building permit applications from the contribution for parks, playgrounds and natural areas.

During this meeting, the person presiding will explain the draft By-Law and will hear every person or body wishing to express an opinion exclusively on the draft by-law.

The draft by-law 526.17-2025 is not subject to approval by way of referendum.

This draft By-Law is available for consultation online and at the Community center, 394 Main, Hudson, during working hours which are from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., from Monday to Thursday and from 8:30 to noon on Friday.
