09 Mar Public notice of by-election, poll of May 3, 2026
PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given to the electors of the Town of Hudson by Renée Huneault, Returning Officer, that:
1. The following position is open for nominations:
Councillor – District #3 (Hudson Centre)
2. Any nomination paper shall be filed at the office of the Returning Officer, on the following days and at the following times and by appointment:
March 20, 2026, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
March 23, 2026, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
March 24, 2026, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
March 25, 2026, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
March 26, 2026, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
March 27, 2026, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
March 31, 2026, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
April 2, 2026, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
On Friday, April 3rd the office will be open all day, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
3. If more than one candidate runs for the same position, electors in District 3 may exercise their right to vote by presenting themselves at their assigned polling station on the following dates:
Sunday May 3, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 8 pm.
and advance polling will be held on:
Sunday April 26, 2026 from noon to 8 p.m.
If you are unable to move about for health reasons and are registered on the list of electors as a domiciled person, you may ask your returning officer, until April 21, 2026, to vote in your room located in a recognized health care facility or in your home. The same applies to your caregiver.

She is also designated as assistant and may receive nomination papers.
