What is an electoral district?
An “electoral district” is the municipal equivalent of a provincial “electoral division” (riding). Our municipality’s electoral map is divided into 6 electoral districts, each of which having approximately the same number of voters. During the general municipal election slated for November 2nd, 2025, electors will vote for the mayoral candidate of their choice and for one of the candidates running for the office of councillor in their electoral district.
