Community Pool and kayak rentals

New pilot project for 2025 !

Kayak and stand-up paddleboard (SUP) rentals are free for Hudson residents every Wednesday through Friday this summer.
Come enjoy the beautiful waterfront and get out on the water!
Rentals available at Jack Layton Park, 394 Halcro, Hudson.
Don’t forget to bring proof of residence.

  • Open from July 2, to September 1, 2025
  • Saturday, Sunday    10:30 am to 6 pm
  • Wednesday – Thursday – Friday   12 pm to 7 pm

  • Children 4 to 9 years must be accompanied by a parent in a double kayak.
  • Children 10 to 14 years can be in a single kayak but must be accompanied by a parent.
  • Ages 16 and over; no parental accompaniment required.
  • Lifejacket rental is included.
  • Prices include tax.

Welcome to the 2025 season of the Community Pool!

The post-season begins on Monday, August 18th and continues until Thursday, August 28th. Consult the POST-SEASON schedule. 

The regular season begins on Monday, June 23rd. Consult the REGULAR SEASON schedule. 

The pre-season begins on Monday, June 9th, with school visits and reduced hours for free swim and adult free swim. Consult the PRE-SEASON SCHEDULE.

EARLY REGISTRATION

At the Stephen F. Shaar Community Centre, 394 Main Road, Hudson.

HUDSON RESIDENTS:

Beginning Sunday, May 4th, from 9 a.m. to noon
(Mondays to Thursdays: 8:30 am to noon,  1 pm to 4:30 pm, Fridays: 8:30 am to noon).

  • Proof of residency is required when registering for the Hudson Community Pool.
  • Residency is defined as the participant’s child’s primary town of residence.
  • Those wishing to register for the pool and all programs (including swimming lessons), will be required to do so on the above-mentioned days.
  • Registration will continue at the Community Centre after these dates, but will be on a first come, first served basis.
  • A 15% late fee will be applied to registrations received after June 7th.

NON-RESIDENTS:
Beginning Sunday, May 25th, from 9 a.m. to noon
(Mondays to Thursdays: 8:30 am to noon,  1 pm to 4:30 pm, Fridays: 8:30 am to noon).
