Let’s create our future together – count me in!

The Town of Hudson announces the launch of a series of public consultations that will play a crucial role in shaping the community’s future. Under the theme “Let’s Create Our Future Together – Count Me In!” residents are invited to actively participate in the development of three major projects that will lay the foundation for Hudson’s Strategic Plan.

Help shape the future of Hudson’s parks and green spaces!

On Wednesday, July 16, 2025, the draft Parks and Green Spaces Master Plan was presented to the public. This ambitious plan outlines six key areas for action:

  • Reimagining Benson Park as an intergenerational space with facilities and amenities for all ages and levels of accessibility, including a splash pad and skate spot
  • Creating sports hubs, adding new pickleball courts and potentially relocating the baseball field to either St. Thomas Park or Thompson Park
  • Improving facilities and amenities throughout the entire park network
  • Strengthening and sustaining the trail network
  • Highlighting Hudson’s waterfront character and improving water access at Jack Layton and Thompson Parks
  • Improving the parks in currently underserved areas, including a new park in the Fairhaven neighbourhood and upgrades to Willowbrook and Davidson parks

This Master Plan will:

  • Provide a strategic framework to better coordinate and prioritize future actions, and
  • Serve as a guide and decision-making tool for the years to come.

We want to hear from you!

  • Share your thoughts on the proposed improvements for Benson, St. Thomas, Thompson, Willowbrook, and Davidson Parks, as well as the creation of a new park in Fairhaven.
  • WATCH or READ the presentation and complete the survey by Friday, August 1, 2025. Your feedback is essential to ensure these plans reflect what residents truly want and need.
