On Sunday November 2, 2025, you will be invited to exercise your duty as a citizen during municipal elections. As provided by law, the municipal council will dissolve in the fall. The positions of mayor and of the six municipal councillors will therefore be open to nominations.

Make sure that your name is entered on the list of electors and that your information is correct. You have the responsibility to do so.
During the electoral period, make sure your name appears on the notice sent by the municipality. If it is missing, go to the location indicated on the notice to register or update your information. To vote, your name must be on the electoral list. For more information, contact the Returning Office of the Town of Hudson.
If your residence is not located in the municipality, but you own a property (cottage, apartment building, etc.) or occupy a business establishment, you can check your registration on the electoral list with your Returning Officer: elections@ville.hudson.qc.ca
The nomination period runs from September 19 to October 3 at 4:30 p.m. Interested candidates are invited to review the Guide to Becoming a Candidate, complete their nomination form, obtain the required supporting signatures, and schedule an appointment with the Returning Officer to officially submit their candidacy. Elections are governed by the Act respecting elections and referendums in municipalities. They are fixed-date elections, held on the first Sunday of November every four years.

Last day to receive applications for entry and powers of attorney of non-domiciled electors before the filing of the electoral list. Applications received after this date will be forwarded to the Board of Revisors.

Every candidate must file a nomination paper with the returning officer. This filing must be done between September 19 and October 3, 2025, by appointment, by contacting her directly by email at elections@ville.hudson.qc.ca or by phone at 450-458-5347 #1121.

At the end of the nomination period, that is, on Friday, October 3, 2025, at 4:30 p.m., if only one nomination has been received for a position, that candidate will be declared elected by acclamation.
Election Signs – RULES TO FOLLOW
The Returning Officer of the Town of Hudson is presently recruiting and appointing the election staff required for the 2025 municipal elections.
Interested persons must be available for mandatory training which will be held in the evening, in October.
Many positions will be available for the board of revision, for advance polling and for the November 2nd election day. Positions needed include :

The municipality’s territory is divided into six electoral districts. The districts are designated by numbers 1 through 6 and their boundaries vary according to population density.
