Workshops “Hors de l’eau” (out of the water) for 2017 flood victims suffering from anxiety disorders

Le Versant, a support network for people with anxiety disorders, is offering a workshop entitled “Hors de l’eau” (out of the water) to victims of the 2017 flood and their loved ones who suffer from anxiety disorders.

Two “Hors de l’eau” workshops lasting 2 hours per week will begin on April 10, 2018, for 11 weeks. These workshops will be given in French, see details below.

Le Versant’s volunteer Jean-Marc Bouchard, who has many years volunteering as a workshop facilitator, is available during the month of April to meet individually with persons who need help with their anxiety following last year’s flooding and who are more comfortable speaking English.

Please call 450-455-6171 ext.70657 or send an email to info@leversant.org for an appointment.

French workshop dates are:

  • Tuesday afternoons, beginning April 10th, from 2 pm to 4 pm at the chalet de L’escapade, Rigaud
    15, rue du Boisé-des-Franciscaines
  • Tuesday evenings,  beginning April 10th, from 7 pm to 9 pm, at the Vaudreuil-Dorion CLSC
    3031, boulevard de la Gare

Line Handfield, who works with Versant and a founding member of the Board, will lead both workshops. Line specializes in helping and, coincidentally, lives on the edge of the river. It will also be possible to meet her individually by appointment.

Registration and information: www.leversant.orgor 450-455-6171 ext 70657.  A fee of approximately $ 40.00 will be charged for  teaching materials and registration. Places are limited.
