The mission of the Community Patrol is to provide a local service in close collaboration with community stakeholders, local residents’ organizations and voluntary organizations in order to establish a sense of security and peace of mind.

The Community Patrol strives to achieve increased security by working in a close relationship with residents, so that everyone becomes a partner in providing preventive surveillance.

Mandates

Road problems, such as faulty streetlights

Obscured traffic signs

Traffic during religious services and special events

Application of by-laws, such as zoning and construction

Parking and obstruction of the public highway

The disturbance of public order (noise, nuisance, damage to public property)

Surveillance of municipal parks and buildings

Please remind your children about potential dangers from strangers. Instruct them never to get into a vehicle with a stranger. If approached, they should go to a safe place and call 911 immediately. Parents are urged to inform the authorities of any suspicious activity as soon as possible.

If you receive a phone call from someone claiming to be a member of your family in trouble with the law in Hudson, never send money, because you may be the target of a scam. If you have already sent money, do not send any more. The Town of Hudson does not have a municipal police force, prison or detention centre and is under the policing jurisdiction of the Sûreté du Québec.
