Rainfall warning

Issued at 2017-05-05 08:19 UTC by Environment Canada:
Rainfall warning issued for:
Soulanges area, Que. (032510)

Current details:
Rain, at times heavy, is expected. The ground, already near saturation, has little ability to absorb further rainfall.

A low pressure system will affect the province of Quebec through Sunday giving significant rainfall amounts. The rain will intensify today. Rainfall amounts of 25 to 50 millimetres are expected through Saturday evening. However, additional amounts are expected later on.

As it is a period of high water levels, the additional rainfall could cause many more problems. We recommend consulting the medias and the Quebec Civil Protection Organization’s statements to stay informed of latest information for your area in order to take the appropriate measures.

Localized flooding in low-lying areas is possible.

Don’t approach washouts near rivers, creeks and culverts.
