PUBLIC NOTICE – PUBLIC CONSULTATION MEETING: DRAFT BY-LAWS 526.2-2018 & 709.1-2018
TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 20th, 2018 – 7:00 PM

Public notice is hereby given by the undersigned, Town Clerk of the Town of Hudson, of the following:
At its regular meetings held on Tuesday, October 2nd, 2018 and on Monday, September 4th, 2018, Council adopted the following first draft By-Laws:

“BY-LAW 526.2 AMENDING BY-LAW ZONING BY-LAW 526 TO MODIFY USES PERMITTED IN ZONE C-8”

AND

“BY-LAW 709.1 – BY-LAW GOVERNING SPECIFIC CONSTRUCTION, ALTERATIONS OR OCCUPANCY PROPOSALS FOR AN IMMOVABLE”.

In accordance with an Act respecting land use planning and development (chapter A-19.1), a public consultation meeting will be held on Tuesday, November 20th, 2018, at 7:00 PM, at the Stephen F. Shaar Community Centre, Youth Centre (basement), located at 394 Main, Hudson.

The purpose of this public consultation meeting is to explain draft By-Laws No 562.2 the object of which is to modify uses in order to avoid the opening of a cannabis retail outlet in zone C-8 and 709.1-2018 the object of which is to amend By-Law 709 regarding specific construction, alterations or occupancy proposals for an immovable.

During this meeting, the person presiding will explain the draft by-laws and will hear every person or body wishing to express an opinion exclusively on the modifications to be made to the by-laws.

The draft for by-law 709.1 does not contain provisions making it subject to approval by way of referendum.

The draft for by-law 526.2 is subject to approval by way of referendum in accordance with section 123 al.3 (1) of the Act Respecting Land Use Planning and Development and refers to zone C-8, as shown in the attached map.

These by-laws may be reviewed at the Town Hall, 481 Main, Hudson, during working hours which are from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., from Monday to Friday.
