Public notice: Public consultation meeting draft by-laws 526.3, 571.2 & 526.5 Thursday, May 23rd, 2019 – 7:00 pm

Public notice is hereby given by the undersigned, Town Clerk of the Town of Hudson, of the following:

At its regular meetings held on Monday, May, 6th, 2019, Council adopted the following draft By-Laws:

“BY-LAW 526.3 TO AMEND ZONING BY-LAW 526 TO AMEND THE REQUIREMENT CONCERNING THE ATTACHED GARAGE LEVEL”

AND

“BY-LAW 571.2-2019 TO AMEND THE SPAIP BY-LAW 571 TO AMEND THE PROVISIONS ON THE TYPE OF WORK SUBJECT TO SPAIP”

AND

“BY-LAW 526.5 TO AMEND ZONING BY-LAW 526 TO MODIFY THE REQUIREMENTS CONCERNING BI-GENERATIONAL DWELLINGS”

In accordance with an Act respecting land use planning and development (chapter A-19.1), a public consultation meeting will be held on May 23rd, 2019, at 7:00 PM, at the Stephen F. Shaar Community Centre, Youth Centre (basement), located at 394 Main, Hudson.

The purpose of this public consultation meeting is to explain:

– Draft By-Law 526.3 the object of which is to amend By-Law 526 to repeal the requirement concerning the attached garage level;
– Draft By-Law 571.2 the object of which is to simplify the procedure when there is a request to modify a commercial sign;
– Draft By-Law 526.5 the object of which is to modify the conditions of authorization for bi-generational dwellings as an additional use in single-family dwellings.

During this meeting, the person presiding will explain the draft by-laws and will hear every person or body wishing to express an opinion exclusively on the modifications to be made to these by-laws.

The drafts for by-laws 526.3 and 571.2 do not contain provisions making them subject to approval by way of referendum.

The first draft of By-Law 526.5 is subject to approval by way of referendum in accordance with section 123 al.3 (1) of the Act Respecting Land Use Planning and Development.

These by-laws may be reviewed at the Town Hall, 481 Main, Hudson, during working hours which are from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., from Monday to Friday or by clicking on the links below.
