Public notice: Public consultation meeting – 7 pm Monday March 18th 2019

Public notice is hereby given by the undersigned, Assistant Town Clerk of the Town of Hudson, of the following:

At its regular meeting held on Monday, March 4th, 2019, Council adopted the first draft resolution R2019-03-04.

This resolution aims to authorize, in accordance with By-Law 709 governing specific construction, alterations or occupancy proposals for an immovable (SCAOPI), the construction of a mixed usage building on lot 1 833 323 at 426 Main which includes the following elements:

• Height of the main building of 13,97 m. instead of the maximum of 13,5 m.;
• Height of the shed dormers of 11,92 m. instead of the maximum of 11 m.;
• 33 parking spaces instead of the required 35 parking spaces;
• 368,91 sq. meters of grass and landscaped areas instead of the minimum of 600 sq. meters;
• Balconies and terraces exceeding by 1,88 m. the wall instead of the maximum of 1,5 m.

In accordance with an Act respecting land use planning and development (chapter A-19.1), a public consultation meeting will be held on Monday, March 18th, 2019, at 7:00 PM, at the Stephen F. Shaar Community Centre, Youth Centre (basement), located at 394 Main, Hudson.

During this meeting, the person presiding will explain the draft resolution and will hear every person or body wishing to express an opinion exclusively on this construction project.

This draft resolution refers to zone C-27, as illustrated below:

This draft resolution contains provisions which are subject to approval by way of referendum in accordance with section 123 para. 3 (1) of the Act Respecting Land Use Planning and Development.

This draft resolution may be reviewed at the Town Hall, 481 Main, Hudson, during working hours which are from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., from Monday to Friday.
