July 10th at 7 pm – Public consultation at Collège Bourget – 2017 Spring Flooding

2017 SPRING FLOODS

The Government of Quebec wishes to reduce the number of people and property exposed to future flooding while, under certain exceptional circumstances and under certain conditions, permitting the reconstruction of buildings destroyed or severely damaged during floods.  This why there is a plan to declare a special intervention zone in the territory of certain local municipalities affected by the floods that occurred in April and May 2017.

PUBLIC CONSULTATIONS

The Government of Quebec wishes to hear from individuals and organizations wishing to express their views on the draft Order in Council (see link to French-only version below) at public consultation meetings organized throughout the province.

For all citizens residing in Montérégie, the meeting will take place on Monday, July 10 at 7 pm at Collège Bourget, in the auditorium of the main pavilion, located at 65 rue Saint-Pierre in Rigaud. Click below to access a map:
