It’s now known as The BIG little CANADIAN FILM FESTIVAL and the 2026 edition marks 12 years of giving our passionate Festival Experience lovers exciting programs of award winning Canadian films. Drama\, Comedy\, Thriller\, documentary\, short\, long\, French\, English – they are all there! And with a bonus of Film Art guests to discuss their work and answer questions. \nThe big new screen is at the Hudson Village Theatre\, a restored historic train station built in 1890. As the Town’s cultural center\, it is the perfect intimate venue for film. DESCRIPTION:Nature\, Caught in the Act\nExperience the Natural World of Creek 53 \nPhoto Exhibition\nVernissage: Sunday\, April 26 | 2–4 pm\nHudson Creative Hub\n273 Main Road\, Hudson \nMost people would be surprised by the biodiversity found on the land protected by the Creek 53 Conservancy Trust. We drive along Main Road and catch glimpses of fields and forest—but how much do we really know about the life thriving there? \nWith their cameras and a great deal of patience\, Creek 53 Resident Photographer Stéphane Hogue\, Resident Birder Wayne Grubert\, along with their intrepid volunteers and researchers\, have caught nature in the act and are eager to share their work with us. From wide open landscapes to tiny insect life\, they have captured the natural world of Creek 53 in all its diversity and intriguing beauty. \nThe exhibition opens on Sunday\, April 26 with a free public vernissage from 2 pm to 4 pm at the Hudson Creative Hub. Drop by to meet the photographers and chat with Creek 53 volunteers and trustees. \nOur local biodiversity is worth celebrating and protecting. This volunteer-organized exhibition aims to raise awareness of our remarkable local biodiversity and the importance of conserving it. Original framed or unframed photos\, as well as greeting cards\, will be available for purchase in support of the Creek 53 Conservancy Trust. \nDon’t miss this opportunity—we look forward to welcoming you in great numbers!
