12 Jul Dog ban at Sandy Beach effective Friday July 13th 2018
Effective Friday, July 13th, dogs are no longer permitted at or around Sandy Beach. All dogs, whether owned by residents or non-residents, are banned from the area bordered by the entrance of the wooden bridge at Jack Layton Park and all accesses to the beach from Royalview. This area includes the woods and along the waterfront. See the map below. This action is being taken to ensure the safety and security of all Hudsonites. The ban is effective until further notice, and Council will be discussing this issue further in the upcoming months.
Dogs on leash continue to be welcome at Jack Layton Park as well as on the other trails in and around Hudson. Residents are also reminded that they are welcome to use the off-leash dog park located on Main Road, across the street from Thompson Park.
